One for all the family this summer, who doesn’t love a visit to the zoo? Let us help you keep the kids occupied during the school summer holiday. On this day trip we are aiming to arrive around 11:30 and depart around 17:30. There are scheduled animal talks throughout the day, play areas for the kids and all your favourite creatures. There is a free APP (both Apple and Android) to download with a GPS enabled Zoo map and a ‘Plan Your Day’ function where you can enter your ‘must sees’ and receive notifications on the animal talks that you don’t want to miss!
The Zoo’s biggest experience, Land of the Lions, gives you the chance to get closer than ever before to the mighty Asiatic lions. You can explore walkways covering the 2,500sqm Indian-themed exhibit.
Monkey Valley will transport you to the lush mountainous forest of Central Africa, against the backdrop of a 30ft waterfall and peaceful lagoon. Experience our troop of gravity-defying, ‘high-flying’ colobus monkeys leaping, lounging, swinging, and snoozing, in their new tree-top inspired habitat. Come face-to-face with one of nature’s most awesome predators in Tiger Territory, learn about the natural behaviours of Sumatran tigers and discover the conservation issues these creatures face in the wild.
Tiny Giants is a celebration of all things small but mighty, and the sometimes strange but always wonderful world of invertebrates. Also home to a brand new coral reef tank, this indoor experience is one not to be missed.
You’ll love heading down to the beach to watch the colony of Humboldt penguins dive, swim, frolic and feed in England’s largest penguin pool, complete with large underwater viewing windows. And step Into Africa to observe the elegance and grace of the giraffes before moving on to the magnificent residents of Gorilla Kingdom.
