Battle Proms Picnic Concert Hatfield Park – Maldon Route
This quintessentially British ‘party in the park’ features a 2 hour orchestral programme with all the ‘last night of the proms’ finale favourites, all in the surroundings of the stunning Hatfield House stately home, plus some unforgettable entertainment to really make the evening go with a bang. Pick your picnic spot, get yourself comfortable and have a ball whilst the Battle Proms experience brings you:

- The incredible talents of young soloists playing select pieces alongside the orchestra
- The ‘Battle Proms Belles’ who will get your toes tapping and the Champagne corks popping!
- The Battle Proms Cavalry – taking you on a horseback journey through time exploring British cavalry through the ages with a thrilling display of horse riding skills
- The Red Devils parachute display team
- Aerial display by the Grace Spitfire
- Highly acclaimed soprano Denise Leigh singing beautiful arias from famed operas and leading the Battle Proms sing-along finale
- Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture and Beethoven’s ‘Battle Symphony’ with over 200 live cannon shots, musketfire and fireworks!

Reserve a seat at a garden table for your picnic!
This year we are offering our trippers the “add on” option of reserving a seat at a garden table to enjoy your picnic at, rather than taking your own camping chairs/table with you. Seats and tables are standard plastic garden chairs at tables that seat 4 people and we are offering this option for £10pp. Please note: If you reserve places for less than 4 people (or multiples of 4) then you or some of your party may need to share a table with other TMOT trippers.
There are no age restrictions, Battle Proms is the perfect way to introduce children to live orchestral music in a fun, informal setting. Children love the picnic style of the event, plus all the excitement of the peripheral entertainments such as the traditional fairground stalls, cavalry, infantry, aerial displays, cannons and fireworks.
Very young children may benefit from a pair of junior ear defenders if they are sensitive to fireworks. As a guideline, we would advise a ratio of one supervising adult to three children under 16, and children must be supervised by an adult at all times.
